As a parent, I can only imagine what Jairus was going through. The thought of losing his precious child was more than he could bear. So, he went to the One whom he believed could heal his daughter. However, Jairus was not the only one in need of a miracle. A crowd rushed in need of a miracle; the woman with a bleeding disorder was desperate for healing. There were so many things happening around Jairus that he was probably getting anxious, frustrated, and perhaps afraid, wondering, “What is happening? Jesus, please don’t stop. Are you going to heal my daughter? What’s taking so long? Don’t you care?”
- I can relate to Jairus’s frustration, fear, and worries. Sometimes we, too, question the Lord. “Is Jesus going to come? Why is He delaying? Doesn’t He care about what I’m going through?”
- Friends, He does care. And what matters to us is important to Him.
- Just as Jesus said to Jairus, He says to us, “Don’t be afraid, just believe.”
- Unfortunately, fear and faith are never too far apart. But just because we fear doesn’t mean we don’t have faith.
- Friends, whatever you’re facing today, remember that what matters to you matters to Jesus. Believe that He will come and exceed your expectations.
- Heavenly Father, thank for your faithful and reminding me today, that regardless what challenges I may face today or tomorrow I don’t need to be afraid all I need to do is to believe in You, knowing that You are faithful and you always keep your promises.
- Thank you Jesus for your unconditional love. In Tour I name we pray, and give you all the glory, amen.
