God Has Good Plans For Us

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Amid trouble and chaos, God is working to design a future for us that is full of hope, peace, and success.

God’s dream (vision) for us is written in His final book. “A great multitude that no one could count from every nation, tribe, people, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne and to the Lamb.” (Revelation 7:9-10 NIV)

This dream drives the heart of our Heavenly Father. His purpose from all eternity is to prepare a family to indwell the Kingdom of God. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God is plotting for our good in all the setbacks and slipups. He is ordering the best for our days designed to draw us toward God and destiny.

We will get through life to the degree that we believe and accept his vision for our lives. When people junk us into the pit, we will stand up. God can use this for good. When family members forsake us, we will rise. God will recycle our current or past pain. Falsely accused, wrongly imprisoned, and utterly abandoned. We may stumble, but we do not fall. Why? Because God works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will” Ephesians 1:11 NIV.

Everything means everything. No exceptions. Everything in our lives is leading to a pivotal moment in which Jesus will “reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his bloodshed on the cross. (Colossians 1:20)

At the right time in God’s timing, we will be taken home to Canaan. But till then, let’s remain close to Jesus- and keep running your race.

Can you recall a time in your life when God rescued you and brought good out of a bad situation? I can. God has saved me from horrible conditions more times than I can count. Friends, is there someone you know that needs to hear your story of hope? If so, don’t hesitate to give them a call or a text. God’s plans are for all of us. He promised to leave the ninety-night and go after the one if necessary. If He did it for me, He’ll do the same for you. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Father, thank you for your love, mercy, and grace. Thank you for never giving up on me. Please help me keep my eyes on Jesus and continue to run my race and bring you glory on everything I do here on earth until I return home to you. In Jesus’ name, amen!

I have often asked the Lord if writing is His calling in my life; after all, I'm a teacher, not a writer. Through the Book of Luke, in the New Testament, the Lord taught me that Luke had no idea that his study would ever impact our life. He wrote for the One, his friend, Theophilus. Yet, God used Luke, a doctor, to share the truth about Who Jesus was and why He came. So, why do I write? I write to share the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done in my life.
