There’s Joy in Everything

But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag” Isaiah 40:31 MSG

Helen Keller once said, “Everything has its wonders, even darkness, and silence..” I can’t imagine what it feels like not to see and be surrounded by darkness and silence. At some point in our journey through life, we have faced darkness in one form or another. I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen family and friends staying awhile and then moving on.

I’ve experienced many ups and downs. I’ve even seen loved ones taken over with cancer. Some have lost the battle, and others have been healed completely. I’ve seen Him do it!

I have shared many tears in my journey, but I have also experienced joy beyond what I could have ever imagined—the satisfaction of knowing Jesus.

But one thing I have learned is how constant my Lord Jesus has been in my life.

I have learned that there’s beauty in everything we experience, even in the dark and silence. Why? Because knowing how much God loves me and who I am in Him has set me free. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us of one of God’s promises, “But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles. They run and don’t get tired; they walk and don’t lag” Wow, this is a promise for all God’s children.

So, when I open my eyes in the morning, I welcome my Father’s joy. The joy of knowing He’s with me, and He will never forsake me. He’s a faithful Father who always keeps His promises.

I can face anything because I can do anything in Jesus Christ, who gives me strength. It doesn’t matter what you and I encounter; We can do everything through Jesus, who provides us with the power to overcome anything. Nothing is impossible for our Lord Jesus. Our God is faithful and unchanging. No matter where we are, He’s with us. Even when we’re not faithful, He is. So, let’s put our trust in the One who never lets go of us even when we let go.

Lord, thank you for your unconditional love and faithfulness. I’ve seen what you can do. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.
